Yes, apparently using a flirty emoji can help a guy get laid.

According to the study, 51% of singles said that emojis give their texts “more personality” and 37% said that emojis make it “easier to express their feelings.”
Emojis are a simple and convenient way to communicate. It makes sense when you think about it.
If a woman were to text you something and you wanted to respond showing that what she said put a smile on your face you could write:
“Hey, that last comment you texted me made me smile!”
